Facebook today made the available version 5.0 from their application for Android operating system, but a big number of users began reporting problems with it ...
According to information from the FAQ , Facebook 5.0 application does not work on some phones from Samsung (Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4), then the Alcatel Idol X and certain Xperia models. The problem is that all the time you run the application appears notification that the application tries to connect and it ends unsuccessfully, although there is an existing Internet connection.
From Facebook team the updates arrive in another way. It happens that some users with a same phone and software, have completely different versions of the Facebook application.
So at this point, ordinary users have applications version 3.4 and 5, and those in the beta program have the version 6. The problem occurs in those with the 5.0 and 6.0 versions, as far as we know.
The members all over the internet have discovered this problem and so far no solution but to stay on the current version and do not update until the error gones. If you have an option for automatic updating, then turn it off at least temporarily.
